Made in Alice while living on Larapinta Drive, these architectural pieces were imagined from the skylines and maps of the Larapinta Trail.
The Larapinta trail is a 223k walking track along the incredible Western McDonald Ranges in Central Australia. It begins in Mparntwe, Arrernte country, and is divided into 12 sections/days ending at Yalalpe on the land of the Western Arrarnta. Many sections have a significant campsite at waterholes that can also be access by road. We had a lovely map that marked the section breaks while also showing the range and elevations along the walk.
We did not ever walk much of the trail—preferring to soak in its waterholes. However many friends have walked its length. And oh, their photos… such glorious light! If you have never been out that way you must, must go.
